WITH THE ZURICH RECREATION GROUP
Last Wednesday and Thurs-
day, the playground children
were busy tie -dying. The
craft was so popular that the
thirty T-shirts we bought were
gone within the first hour.
However, this did not dampen
the children's enthusiasm as
many went home to get their
own T-shirts to dye.
This Thursday morning,
August 24, the playground
children willhave their end of
the season party at 10 until
11.30 a.m. All are welcome
to attend.
During the Bean Festival,
various arts and crafts made by
the playground children will
be put on display in the arena.
Last Monday night, the girls'
softball team defeated the
women's team by a score of
40 to 11. The women didn't

However, the women's team
has come out on top at the end
of the season with four wins as
compared to the girl's three
wins. The top scorers for the
women's team. were, Joyce
Armstrong and Sharon Broken -
shire, while the top scorers
for the girl's team were Mary
Anne Geoffrey, Pat Denomme,
Julie Bedard, Liz Bedard, Lori
Bedard and Susan Bedour.
Swimming tests were tried
during the past two weeks.
Those completing the Tadpole
level included Darrin McKinl-
ey, Jo -Ann McKinley, Shelly
Horner, Mike Bedard, Lori
Arm Bedard, Sharon Thiel,
Steve Creces, Darlene Steckle,
Angela Zehr, Jackie Bedard,
Lori -Ann Meidinger, Brian
Horner and Shelley Haggitt.

A special thanks should go
out to the Zurich Lions Club
for donating enough money to
make it possible for the swim-
mers to go the the Exeter Pool
once a week for practice. With-
out the needed funds for transp-
ortation it would have been
impossible. Thank -you Mr.
Westlake, and the Zurich Lions,
