BOWER - FUSS
Hensall United Church was
the setting for the marriage of
Lynda Kathleen Fuss and Marvin
Tames Bower, on June 3, 1972
at 3 p.m, with Rev. Donald
Beck officiating at the double -
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Fuss, of
• Hensall, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Bower, Exeter.
.The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a white
Empire waisted gown of peau
de soie with long sleeves and
high neckline complimented
with white daisy trim. Her
cathedral length veil was held
by a wedding ring headpiece
and was trimmed in white
daisies. She carried a white
orchid with yellow rose -buds,
stephanotis and trailing ivy
on a white Bible.
Miss Cathy Fuss, sister of the
bride, was the maid of honor
and the bridesmaids were Mrs.
Toyce McCarter, Zurich, sister
of the groom, Miss Dianne
Adkins, Exeter, cousin of the
bride, and Miss Cheryl Fuss,
Hensall, sister of the bride.
They were gowned alike in long
Empire waisted orange floral
sheer over taffeta. They wore
yellow floppy hats with long
yellow streamers. They each
carried one yellow orchid.
Sueanne Adkins, Exeter,
cousin of the bride, was the
flower girl wearing a long white
gown of peau de soie trimmed

iced Church
with a green velvet ribbon.
She carried a basket of daisy
mums.
Mr. Tim Campbell, Exeter,
was the best man and the guests
were ushered by Mr. Ken Mc-
Carter, Zurich, Mr. Bob Par-
sons, Exeter, and Mr. Gary
Truemner, London, cousin of
the bride. Master Randy McCart
er, Zurich, nephew of the
groom, was the ringbearer.
Mrs. Tohn Turkheim, Zurich,
was the organist and accompan-
ied the soloist, Miss Bonnie
Mason, Exeter, when she sang
"Two Shall Be One, " "The
Lord's Prayer" and "The Wedd-
ing Prayer."
The reception was held in
the Zurich Community Centre.
For their wedding trip to •
Northern Ontario, the bride
travelled in a red, white and
blue print dress with a white
sleeveless coat with navy acces-
sories. A red rose corsage comp
limented her outfit.
The.couple will reside in
Exeter, Ontario.
Guests were present from
Sarnia, Alliston, North Bay,
Toronto, Newcastle, Exeter,
Zurich, London, Stratford,
Hensall, and 1-luron Park.
The wedding flowers were
sent from Hawaii by the bride's
aunt, Miss Marg. Fuss.

A very enjoyable evening was
spent at Amber Rebekah Lodge
recently, when District Deputy
president, Mrs. Ruby Bell and
the Past Noble Grands of the
Lodge entertained the Past
Noble Grands of District No.
23, at a social evening.
Mrs. Bell, D.D.P„ presided
over the program which opened
with a sing song with Mrs,
Edith Bell at the piano. Mrs.
Beatrice Hess, of Zurich, was
guest soloist and favoured with
vocal solos accompanied at the
piano by Mrs. Berne McKinley.
Sylvia Bell, Hensall, played
guitar selections accompanied
by her mother, Mrs. Edith Bell,
at the piano. Mrs. Dorothy
Parker gave a humorous reading
entitled "Bessie's Boil."
• Mrs. Berne McKinley gave
coronet selections accompanied
by Mrs. Beatrice Hess at the
piano. Mrs. Ruby Bell D,D.P.
gave a reading "Housecleaning
in my Heart."
Mrs. Rena Caldwell showed
slides on her trip to Alaska and
narrated many interesting points
of travel.
Mrs. Ruby Bell, D.D.P.,
was assisted by Mrs. Olga Chip -
chase N.G., and Mrs. Beatrice
Richardson, P. N. F. , in the
presentation of prizes to the

with the most change in purse,
Mrs. Lillian Grurnmett, Seaford
lady wearing most jewellery,

endenson, Seaforth; lucky cup, Mrs.
Hildebrandt, Seaforth; lucky
chair, Mrs. Winnifred Edgar,
Brussels,
Following the program, ref-
reshments were served by the
Past Noble Grands of Amber
Rebekah Lodge and a social
hour was enjoyed. Seventy-five
Past Noble Grands attended
from Goderich, Clinton, Sea -
forth, Brussels, Exeter, and
Hensall.
