Mr. Klungel had water problems

Leonard Erb gave his report
of sidewalks needing repair. It
was decided to call for tenders.
The sidewalks are South Rich-
mond from Janet McKinnon's
to Lentings; on Queen, from
Cameron's to the parking lot;
on Queen from Roobol's to
Heal's corner; on Mill Street
from Peter's to Erb's.
Following the industrial and
fire report by Harold Knight,
discussion took place over the
problem of the expansion of
Hensall into i ray Township. A
large part of the Co -Op is in
Clay Township, and the firemen
from Brucefield who service Hay
Township will have to come
through Mill Street to get to rhe
Co -Op.
Correspondence read by the
clerk showed the rise in price
of marriage licences by July 1;
that the Health Unit is no longer
inspecting the plumbing for
Huron County; that the munic-
ipality must take action on its
own behalf. Enumeration will
be post -ported until fall and the
question 5.s, "will it be compl-
eted in time for a voter's list,"
Council decided to send for
an application form to see if
students may be used on the
Sweep Program, to clean up
the park. Council will notify
Robert McGregor, chairman of
the Hensel]. Union Cemetery
Board; that they are willing to
do their share towards the up-
keep of the cemetery.
Building permits were issued
to Robert Erb, to build a ver-
andah, to the sales barn, to
build a stock barn; to James
Taylor, for a factory building;
to Gerald Volland for a garage
and kitchen; to Leonard Hoffman
for a laundry room and bath-
room; to William Scrabuik to
make renovations to his home.
The Hensall P. U. C. is hav-
ing an official opening of their
new sub -station and pumphouse
on June 29, from 7 to 9 p. m.
Council is taking under advise-
ment the report on expenses
necessary to the arena.
Accounts of $2, 770.80 were
ordered paid.
