Marie School, St, Joseph and St. Boniface School, Zurich, visited Merry - mount Children's Home at London, where they presented a Christmas program for the youngsters living there. Following the visit on Satur- day evening, several of the pupils at St. Boniface School have expressed their views of the visit, and their comments follow: OUR VISIT TO MERRYMOUNT On December 18, pupils from Ecole Ste. Marie and St. Boni- face School travelled to Merry - mount Orphanage in London to present a Christmas program. Mr. John McCarrol arranged for the visit. St. Boniface presented a gymnastic demonstration done by the senior girls. The children of the orphanage joined Mrs. Suplat's class in dancing to Alley Cat and Greensleeves. Danny Meidinger, Ronnie Meld - lager and Danny Overholt played the guitars and sang as a group. Ricky Bedard played his guitar. and sang also.. Ecole Ste. Marie had a group of girls singing Christmas songs. Mrs. Laporte's class did a play about Cinderella in French. At the end of the program the girls from Ecole Ste. Marie sang ' Christmas carols. Mr, McCarrol had a balloon game. Then Santa came in and all the child- ren ran to him. Before returning home the students enjoyed talking to their little hosts. Ronnie Meidinger CHRISTMAS Little eyes peeking through glasses Some little children are fast,' others slow as molasses. When Christmas is here Children from their rooms far and near Will come to see Santa. Then Santa will come, Bringing a little boy a toy drum. Then off to bed, Goes that little sleepy head. Love - special feeling toward ons another. Orphan - lonely children without parents. Orphanage - a place where people care for homeless children. Parents - a man and woman who share their love with their children. Santa - wonderful jolly fellow who brings lots of toys. Sharing - giving of yourself.
