FAMILY NIGHT
The Christmas meeting of
Dashwood Women's Institute
was held Tuesday, December
7, with the executive in charge
of a pot luck supper for family
night.
Following supper the president;
Mrs. Howard Maier dealt with
the business. Plans were made
for summary day at Clinton for
the course The Knack of Sewing
with Knits. Suzanne Dietrich
received a gift for completing
SO MANY
WONDERFUL
six projects in 4- 11. The 4-11
girls presented the skit they had
done at Achievement Day.
Bunco was played with Howard
Datars high and Sandra Datars
low.
LADIES AID
The Christmas and annual
meeting of Zion Lutheran
Church Ladies Aid was held
Wednesday, December 8 with
group IV in charge of decorat-
ions and lunch and Mrs. Louella
Tiernan, convener.

Reports were heard from all
conveners, secretaries, and
treasurers showing a busy and
successful year.
Mrs. Ray Rader was in charge
of nominations. Officers are as
follows; president, Mrs. Jim
Hayter; vice president, Mrs.
Ernest Koehler; secretary, Mrs.
Charles Martene; pianist, Miss
Helen Nadiger, card treat and
flower secretary, Mrs. Albert
Miller, auditors, Mrs. Leonard
Schenk and Miss Helen Nadiger;

librarians, Mrs. Earl Keller and
Mrs. Ray' Rader.
Each group was to have a
number for the program. Group
T the Hayter sisters, Jo-anne,
Janice, and Jayne sang; Group
II, the Miller sisters, Vicki
and Diane favoured with piano
duets and solo by Diane; Group
III, Mrs. Irvin Rader gave
readings; Group IV had Christ-
mas carols followed by a Christ-
mas lunch at which time the
pastor r.nd his wife were present-
ed with a gift.
Mrs. Art Haugh is a patient
in Victoria Hospital, London,
having suffered a coronary.

St. Joseph's llospitali
Mr, and Mrs. Siegfried Miller,
Port Dover spent Sunday with
Mrs. Martha Miller,
Ten ladies attended Summary
Day at Clinton, Monday with
their leaders, Mrs. Leonard
Schenk and Mrs, Howard Datars
who were later presented gifts
by their group, who had taken
the course "The Knack of Sewing
with Knits."
There were 250 ladies present
and each group provided a com-
mentator and two models. Mrs,
Bill Baechler was commentator
for Dashwood and Mrs. Ray
Rader and Mrs. Paul Watson
modelled their outfits. Light
refreshments brought an enjoy-
able afternoon to a close.
