MRS, ROBERT CAMERON
A well known Hensall resi-
dent, Mrs. Robert Cameron,
passed away in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, on Decemb-
er 10, in her 90th year.
The former Annabel Foster,
she was born at Varna and was
the youngest daughter of Alex
and Margaret Foster.
Mrs, Cameron spent most of
her younger years, travelling
in a horse and buggy as a music
teacher in the Varna, St. Jos-
eph, and Brucefield districts.
In 1917 she married Robert
J. Cameron who predeceased
her two years ago. A son Rob-
ert Bruce, Hensall, and a sister
Mrs. Charles (Jessie) Stelck,
Seaforth, survive.
From 1931 to 1965 Mrs. Cam-
eron served faithfully as a lib-
rarian in the Hensall Public
Library. She was an active
member in the Presbyterian
Church, and a Life Member of
the WMS. At one time she was
organist of this church and also
sang in the choir for many years
The body rested at her late
residence until December 13 at
2 p.m., when funeral service
took place with Rev. W. Jarvis
and Rev. Parker, of London
officiating, Interment was in
Hensall Union cemetery.
Pallbearers were, Emery
Bruce, Keith Holmes, Jim
Bengough, Bill Parker, Dave
Kyle and Kenneth Elder.
MYRTLE M. PEART
Myrtle M. Peart passed away
in South Huron Hospital, Dec-
ember 9, 1971 in her 75th year.
Surviving are some nieces
and cousins.
The funeral service was held
from the Bonthron Funeral
Chapel, Hensall, Saturday at
11 a.m. with Rev. W. Jarvis
officiating. Burial was in Staffa
cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Vivian
Lorne Elliott, Phillip James and
Lisle Warden.

The W,M.S. of Carmel
Presbyterian Church of Hensall
held their Christmas meeting
December 6. President Mrs.
R, A. Orr opened the meeting
with a poem called "A Time tc
Celebrate. "
A Christmas devotional
worship taken from the Glad
Tidings, called "Hark the
Glad Sound, " was given by
Mrs. Jack Soldan, Mrs. Mal-
colm Dougall, and Mrs. Gord-
on Schwalm. A duet was sung
by Mrs. Harold Bell and Mrs.
Dougall accompanied by Mrs.
Munn at the piano.
The 1972 study packet will
be presented to Mrs, Al Hog-
garth, who is the Explorer
Counsellor of the Church.
President Mrs. Orr welcomed
24 members and guests, and
introduced the guest speaker,
Mrs. Margaret Thorndike, of
Clinton, who showed slides
and souvenirs of her recent trip
to London, England, Spain and
Morrocco, Africa, Mrs. Sch-
walm also showed her souven-
irs from the same trip.

a Family Worship Sunday, as
Sunday School has been with-
drawn then.
