GYMNASTICS DISPLAY - At a special program presented in the
Zurich Public School last Thursday afternoon for parents, a
number of the students taking gymnastics for an elective displayed
their talent in forming a pyramid. Eric Mansfield, of 1 iensall, has
been teaching the gymnastic program as an elective for the stud-
ents.
ensall registers easy victory
over Centralia College squad
The Hensall Cascadians had
an easy time last Wednesday
night as they ran roughshod
over the Centralia College crew,
handing them a 12-4 setback.
The game was played in the
Hensall Arena.
Bill Chipchase led the Ilensall
onslaught with three big goals,
while Ken Snrale and Bob
Soldan both scored twice. Other
marksmen for the Cascadians
were Bill Taylor, Rod Chapman,
Craig Chapman, Bob Goetz, and
Gary Kyle, with one each.
Hensall jumped into a com-
manding 5-0 lead by the end of
the first period, and then in-
creased this lead to 10-1 by the
end of the second. A slight lay-
off in the third saw the visiting
CGAT team score three of their
four goals, while the Cascadians
still came back with two more.
The game was on the rugged
side and kept referees Pat
O'Brien and Butch Sweeney
busy all night. The visiting
team was handed out a total
of 14 penalties, two of them
majors, while Ilensall picked
up 13 minors and one game
misconduct.
Last night, Wednesday, the
Ilensall squad played host to
Huron Park, and next Wednes-
day night, December 1, they
will entertain the Dashwood
Bears. To date, the Cascadians
are well out in first place in
the five -team grouping.

in London on Sunday when
Timothy David, son of Mr.
and Mrs. David Brock, receiv-
ed the rights of baptism.

Flyers trounce College team
The Zurich Flyers hit the win
column in the South Huron
District Hockey League on
Tuesday night, when they wal-
loped Centralia College 10-2
at the local arena. Next home
game for the Flyers will be
next Tuesday night, when they
play host to the lluron Park
squad.
Jim Ramer and Ron Desjard-
ine, with two goals each, pac-
ed the Flyers scoring attack.
Single markers were registered
by Paul Corriveau, Bob Merner,
Glenn Overholt, Kevin McKin-
non, Bob Johnston and Gerald
Plan short course
A two-day short course for
dairy farmers will be held on
Decetuber,...8 and 9 at Cehtralia
C ollege of Agricultural Tech-
nology, Huron Park. The purp-
ose of the course is to help
farmers understand and solve
the problems encountered in
managing the dairy herd.
Three topics will be studied;
dairy cattle nutrition and feed-
ing; herd fertility and reprod-
uctive problems; producing high
quality anilk.
Instructors have been obtained
from Centralia College, V.S.13.
Huron Park Diagnostic Laborat-
ory, Ontario Milk Commission,
Niastitis Control Program, Unit-
ed Breeders' Inc. and private
business. Ample time is sched-
uled for discussion and exchange
of information between farmers
and instructors.

The Flyers jumped into a
quick lead in the first period,
scoring four goals before the
College squad could beat Glenn
Gascho in the Zurich nets.
After the CGAT scored their
first goal, the locals banged
in two more to give then a
comfortable 0-1 lead.
Two goals midway through
the second period gave Zurich
an 8-1 lead. At the same time
they were holding the visitors
off the scoresheet.
In the third stanza the Fly-
ers scored twice more, before
finally allowing the students
another single marker.
The game was fast and clean-
ly -played, with only seven
minor penalties being called.
The locals picked up three
minors while four went to the
visitors.
While the Flyers host Huron
Park at home next Tuesday
night, their next game away
from home will be on Thurs-
day, December 2, when they
visit the CGAT ream at Huron
Park.
In other South Iluron action
last week, the Dashwood Bears
downed CGAT in a game played
at the Zurich Arena. No details
of the game were made avail-
able to the Citizens News.
