The Dashwood Women's
Institute entertained the senior
citizens of the community
Wednesday, November 17 when
over fifty were present.
Mrs. John Rader, convener
was chairlady for a variety
program, consisting of a skit.
"The Practical Test, " Mrs.
Matilda Tetreau, of Zurich
gave a delightful reading. A
male quartette, Ilarry Hoffman,
Stanley Haist, Jack Gaiser and
Stewart Wolfe sang. Hilton
Ford, Hank Green, and Tom
Walker entertained on musical
instruments. Mrs. Vera Guenth-
er and Hilton Ford also entert-
ained with music. Patricia
Bender and Susan Grigg played
accordian selections.
Chiselhurst UCW
President, Alis. Russell Brock
opened the meeting of Chisel-
hurst United Church Women
with prayer.
Mrs. Ross Riley gave the
worship with the theme being
"kindness."
A nomination report for the
next two years was given by
Airs: ,Ed Dick. Report of the
Regional Meeting in Exeter
was given.
A short business period was
conducted by Mrs. Brock. Mrs.
Alf Ross showed very interesting
slides on Africa.

attended the Liska - Leudtke
wedding in Pigeon, Michigan,
Saturday.

Louis Restemayer on Sunday
November 21 on the occasion
of the former's 85th birthday
were Mx. and Mrs. Victor
Kraft and Mr. and Mrs. Stuart
Kraft, Mark and Scott, of Lond-
on; Mr. and Mrs, Melvin Rest-
emayer; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Miller, Lorne, Judy, and Jo-
anne, and Mrs. Madeline Fleet.

Constable Frank Giffin is in-
vestigating the theft of a car
owned by Sharron Arts, R. R, 2,
Crediton, from the Dufferin
Hotel parking lot in Centralia.
The car was taken on November
16, and was recovered later that
day in Arva by the London det-
achment of the OPP,
Constable Bill Lewis is invest-
igating the theft of a truck and

a break, enter and theft at the
Hodgins -Hayter premises on
Highway No. 81. The truck was
found near the Pinery Park by
the owner of the truck. There
is approximately $2,500 worth
of business machines still miss-
ing.
Damage to property continues
this week with the total value
exceeding $300. in two occur-
rences. Hydro insulators south
of Exeter were damaged by
vandals who used the glass in-
sulators as targets. Over 50
windows were smashed in a
barn owned by Lorne Becker,
Dashwood.
Local motorists are again
reminded that studded tires
are banned this year.
