Unit II of Hensel' United
Church Women held their
monthly meeting on Monday,
November 8, with Mrs. Wilmer
Ferguson acting as chairlady.
The devotion on "Kindness"
from the Mary Stewart Collect
was given by Mrs. Jim Drum-
mond.
The roll call was answered by
17 members.
Business portion of meeting,
taken over by Mrs. Verne Ald-
erdice, consisted of general meet
ing, November .22. Thursday,
November 18, Unit II is asked to
help host a party at the Blue
water Rest Home at 7 p.m.
The next meeting will be on
Monday, December 13, at 8.30
for the Christmas meeting with al
units present.
Mrs. Verne Alderdice very
ably conducted the study on
"The Sacred Laws of Deuteron-
omy" taken from the Panorama
of the Bible.
Mrs. Rena Caldwell gave a
very interesting resume and
showed slides of her trip with
Roy Jewell, through the Peace
River district, the Yukon and
Alaska.
Lunch was served by the Nov-
ember group.
Henson Women's Institute hear
expert on future of farming
Hensel" Women's Institute held
their Agriculture and Canadian
Industries meeting in the Legion
Hall, with president Mrs. J.
McAllister in the chair. Members
answered the roll call by introd-
ucing their guests.
Mrs. McAllister gave a report
of the area convention. A
moment of silence was observed
in memory of a past member,
Mrs. Alice Joynt.
Mrs. E. Riley conducted the
program which started with every-
one taking part in a sing -song,
accompanied at the piano by
Miss Greta Lammie. Mrs. Riley
read the poem "In Flanders
Fields." Musical numbers given
by Bob and Danny Heywood, of
Exeter, were very much enjoyed
by everyone.
Mrs. John Skea introduced the
guest speaker, Mike Miller, the
assistant Agricultural Represent-
ative for Huron County, who
took a look into the future of
farming, the expansion of farm
vacations in the province, and
the possibility of programmed
machinery in the future.
Slides of their trip to the Brit-
ish Isles and Ireland were shown
by Rev. Mr. Anderson and Mrs.
Anderson, of Exeter. Courtesy
remarks were given by Mrs.
R. Simpson and a lovely lunch
was served by the ladies in charge
Hostesses were Mrs. M. Ingram
and Mrs, E. Riley.

FORREST - O' NEILL
A quiet wedding of interest
was held Friday evening, Oct-
ober 29, in Ilensall United
Church, uniting in marriage
Sharon Mary O'Neill, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Clarke, of Goderich, and Don-
ald John Forrest, son of Mrs.
Lily Forrest and the late Ward
Forrest, of R.R.1, Zurich,
with Rev. Donald Beck officiat-
ing.
Mrs. Mary Dalton acted as
maid of honour and Tom Kyle
was best man. Miss Teresa O'-
Neill, daughter of the bride,
was junior bridesmaid,
After a short wedding trip to
Northern Ontario the young
couple have settled in Hensel'.

The Hensel' Ladies Wednesday
afternoon curling will not be
held this year, due to not getting
enough ladies to curl.
HENSALL GIRL WINS BURSA Y - Miss Pamela Sangster,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Sangster, Hensel', has been
awarded an Ontario Provincial Command Legion University
Bursary in the amount of $500., and is shown here being present-
ed with the award by Vic Stan, president of the Hensel" Legion.
Pamela is presently taking Geology at Sir Sanford Fleming, in
Lindsay.
