SERVICE AT THE CENOTAPH - A Remembrance Day service was held at the Cenotaph in Hen-
sall on Sunday morning, sponsored by the Hensall Legion. Prior to the placing of wreaths, a par-
ade was held down the main street of the village, and in this photo the colour party of the parade
is shown at attention in front of the Cenotaph. Photos of the wreath placing ceremony will be
found on page six of this edition of the Citizens News.

ALBERT ALEXANDER
A well known Hensall resident,
Albert George Alexander passed
away in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, on Monday, November 8
in his 84th year.
Surviving is his wife, the form-
er Elizabeth A. Thomson, and
several nieces and nephews.
The body rested at the Bonth-
ron funeral chapel, Hensall,
until 2 p.m. Wednesday, when
Rev. Don Beck conducted the
service. Interment was in Mait-
land Bank Cemetery, Seaforth,
Pallbearers were Earl Dignan
Harold Dignan, Ron Wareing,
Edison Forrest, Ross Forrest and
Joe McLellan.
WILBERT SELVES
Wilbur James Selves passed
away in South Huron Hospital,
Exeter, on Monday, November
8, in his 71st year.
Mr. Selves is the husband of
the former Mabel C. Purdy, and
a brother of Mary Jacques, of
Woodham.
The body rested at the Bonth-
ron funeral chapel, Hensall,
until Thursday, November 11,
when service took place at 2.00
p.m. with Rev. Don Beck offic-
iating.
Pallbearers were Jim Dougall,
Mac Dougall, Harry Dougal,
Cornelieus Faber, Herman Van
Wieran and Maurice Love.

Carmel WMS
The WMS of Carmel Presbyter-
ian Church, Hensall, held their
November meeting, when pres-
ident, Mrs. R.A. Orr welcomed
guests from United and Anglican
Churches and Arnold Circle,
and friends of Hensall. •
Mrs. Orr and Mrs. Earl Camp-
bell gave the devotional and
Mrs. Ed Munn at the piano for
hymn singing. Ushers were Mrs.
Harold Bell and Mrs, Archie
Hoggarth.
Mrs. Gordon Schwalm introd-
uced the guest speaker, a miss-
ionary, Miss Hazel MacDonald,
of Goderich who with her sister,
Miss Flora MacDonald; lately
came back from a three month
world tour. Miss Hazel MacDon-
ald was three years in Kenya and
area under the African inland
Educational Mission.
It was like a reunion for her to
be back and meet men and wo-
men whom she taught years ago
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1971
as children in Ethiopia, Kenya
and Formosa.
Miss MacDonald also showed
slides of those countries she re-
visited, her mission fields and
the big changes of Christian
turning taken place.
