President of the local organization, Fred Haberer, Left, is seen here being presented with the pucks from Vic Pope, right, owner of the Goderich chicken outlet. This is the third year in a row that the local group have received the same gift from Mr. Pope, and his generosity keeps the boys supplied throughout the season. A bad second period proved to be the downfall for the locals as the Hensall crew outscored them 4-1, The two teams battled on even terms throughout most of the first period, until Gary Kyle shot the visitors into a 1-0 lead with less than a min- ute to play. At the 3.20 mark in the sec- ond period Larry Merner banged in a pass from Jim Ramer to tie the score at 1-1, but this was short-lived as Craig Chapman scored five minutes later to give Hensall the lead again. In the next six minutes the roof fell in for the Flyers as Bill Chipchase scored twice and Bob Carlile came through with one to give Hensall a commanding 5-1 lead. In the third period the Zurich six came roaring back strong, Obituary J. GORDCN CCRRIVEAU A life-long resident of Hay Township, T. Gordon Corriveau passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on Tuesday, November 9. Ile was born in Hay Township on August 26, 1908, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Corriveau. Surviving are one brother, Napoleon T., of Zurich; five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) MacLean, London; Mrs, John (Valencine) Traher, London; Mrs. Donald (Anastasia) Mac- Lean, Kitchener; Miss Eugenie Corriveau, London; and Mrs, Gerald (Laurencia) Feeney, of Kitchener. Mr. Corriveau was not married. The body resting at the West- lake funeral home, Zurich, until Friday morning, Novemb- er 12, when the funeral mass will take place at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, with Father A. Robert officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Thursday even- ing at 9 p. m. 0 House league starts Saturday The Zurich House League Hockey season will get under way this Saturday morning, November 13, All boys under 14 are eligible to take part in this league. This Friday night will see the two arch -rivals, Dashwood and Zurich, tangle in the Zur- ich Arena, and then next Tues- day night the Flyers will play hosts to the Dashwood entry in the same Zurich Arena.
