HomeMy WebLinkAboutZurich Citizens News, 1971-10-28, Page 14THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 19'71 ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS Five teams entered in new district intermediate league A new district intermediate hockey league was formed recently and will open a 20 -game schedule on November 1 with five teams competing, Competing will be teams from Huron Park, Hensall, Dashwood, Zurich, and the Centralia College. The Huron Park arena will be home base for the Huron Park and College clubs while Polk report two crashes On October 22, a pickup driven by an Exeter youth left the roadway on the second Concession of clay, north of No 83 Highway. The vehicle sustained 52, 500. damage while the driver and his juven- ile passenger received minor injuries. The accident was investigated by Constable Al Quinn. A dense fog experienced in the area on the weekend was partially responsible for a single car collision on October 23. A car driven by Kenneth Wild- fong, Zurich, left Highway r4 west. of the Varna Road, and collided with a telephone pole. Damage to the car and pole was estimated at 5.15f'.... by Constable Al Quinn. Zurich and Dashwood will play their home games at the Zurich arena and Hensall will be at home at the Hensall arena.
