{ visit dairy farm

On October 20, the Milky
Moo's visited Larry Merner's
Dairy Farm. We found the farm
very interesting and saw the
new way to milk cows, and how
the milk was strained.
.The Milky Moo's would like
to thank Mr, and Mrs, Larry
Merner for taking their time
to explain everything to us.
After we left the dairy farm
we went to Mrs. Jim Hogg's
home for our meeting. Janet
Webb opened the meeting with
the 4-11 Pledge. Mary -Lou Rau
read the minutes of the last
meeting.
Group four demonstrated.
"tuna -a -la -king." Group one
made some toast; Group three
served and Group two cleaned
up. The meeting was adjourned
at 10 p.m,

News Along The Shore of Beautiful Lake Huron
The beautiful autumn weath-
er that has been enjoyed for the
last couple of weeks carne to
an end with a dull and cloudy
weekend. But, nevertheless,
there were still quite a few
visitors along the Bluewater
Highway, and some residents
made trips further afield.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hogg
motored to Oakville, to spend
the weekend.

Miss Louise Peasant returned
home to Montreal after spending
a week's vacation at her grand-
mothers, Mrs, Louise Cantin.
Mr. and Mrs. Nap Cantin
were weekend visitors at their
cottage at St. Joseph and with
Mr, Gantin's mother, Mrs.
Valerie Cantin.
Also at their cottage at St.
Joseph were Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Brisson and family.

BRIDAL SHOWER
A bridal shower was held
Sunday, October 24, at St.
Peter's Church i fall. in honor
of Miss Nancy Gifford, whose
marriage to Paul Citarrette
takes place in November, .
More than fifty guests were
present and games of bingo
were enjoyed throughout the
afternoon. Nliss Gifford was
the recipient of many lovely
and useful gifts, A delicious
lunch was served by the hostess-
es, members of St. Peter's
Parish,

The regular meeting of the
Women's Missionary and Service
Commission of the Zurich Nlen-
nonite Church was held on
Thursday afternoon, October 21,
with nine ladies present. A
quilt was made for Ni ,C;,C, re-
lief.
The president, Nlary Ginger-
ich, presided for the devotional
and business period. Lillian
Steckle gave the topic on
"Forgiveness."
The Ontario WNISC inspirat-
ional meeting will be held at
the Roc]<w'ay Auditorium, Kit-
chener, on November 2, in the
afternoon and evening.
It was decided to make a don-
ation to the C NIB. The meeting
closed with the singing of a
hymn.
