BLUE WATER REST HOME
We began our week Monday
evening by showing films which
were "Great Recipes from Den-
mark and Vienna, " which show•
ed the art of making Danish
pastry as well as pictures of the
many beauty spots of the
countryside. The second film
was "Long Way to Tipperary, "
the story of the Royal Canadian
Legion and the work they are
doing to relieve suffering and
hardships among the unfortun-
ate.
Two weeks ago we mention-
ed a thank -you to the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Rest Home for
a crib quilt, I wish to make a
correction, the material for
this quilt was donated by Mrs.
Arnold Merrier, Sr., and quilt-
ed and donated by the Zurich
Women's Institute. I regret
this error and thank the Institute

We have had quite a numb-
er of donations of flowers,
peaches, green beans, parsnips,
watermelons, tomatoes, celery,
carrots, beets, cheese, etc.
All donations, large or small
are gratefully accepted, and
we do appreciate your thought-
fulness.
It is nice to see relatives or
friends of our residents come
to visit, and where possible,
invite a resident out for a
short drive during this lovely
autumn weather. Cold weather
will sooner or later set in,
then the residents do not care
to leave the comforts of a
warm building.
On Friday evening, the
bingo was enjoyed followed by
refreshments.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Andrew Blackwell, St, Peter's
Lutheran Church, Zurich. Miss
Christine Haberer accompanied
Rev. Blackwell and presided
at the organ during the service.
