(continued from page 1)
held inside the Community
Centre sponsored by the Zurich
Chamber of Commerce. A good
midway was in operation
throughout the day and evening.
The inside exhibits at this
year's fall fair were up in
number over other years, and
the directors changed the policy
regarding the leaving of articles
on display. Other years all items
could be removed at 5 p. m.,
but this year exhibitors had to
leave their articles in the
building until 9 p.m. This asp-
ect of the fair seemed to please
many visitors who could not
attend in the daytime.
School children's displays
and competition was up cons-
iderably from other years, and
this also added a great deal of
interest. Schools taking part in
the fair were Zurich Public
School, St. Boniface Separate
School, and St. Mary's Separate
School, St. Joseph.
As a climax to the big event
a lucky draw was held in the
evening for a trip for two to
Bermuda, and the winner was
Jack Eckel, R, R,1, Varna.
Complete results of the fall
fair, both in picture and story
form, will be found throughout
this issue of the Citizens News.

Debate

forthcoming from MODA if
Huron withdrew financial sup-
port but still hoped to particip-
ate in the program.
"What has MODA done for
Huron County? asked Allan
Campbell, reeve of McKillop.
Thomas briefly outlined some
of AIODA's activities in Huron,
but added that there had not
been all that much visible proof
of activity in the county.
I'll have to admit that the
government part of the program
has consumed most of the time,
talents and money. Ir hasn't left
our staff much time to work on
other things, but there have
been a few, " said Thomas.
Visit wiry farm
(by Martha Neeb)
On September 22, Zurich
III visited Ralph Weber's dairy
farm. We watched how they
milked by the pipe -line system.
It was fascinating how they
washed everything after they
were done.
When we returned to Mrs.
Neeb's we opened the meeting
with 4-H Pledge, then Barbara
Dietrich read the minutes. Mrs.
Neeb discussed the three val-
uable nutrients, milk, contains,
which are protein, calcium
and riboflavin.
Sylvia Neeb then made a
yogurt chip dip. We sampled
this with a few potato chips
which tasted good.
Meeting three will be held
at Diane Klopp's home.
