Clinton Three municipalities reedy for vote At the Progressive Conservative organizational meeting Monday night in the Bayfield Municipal building, the Village df Bayfield, Stanley township, and Goderich township met jointly to elect poll staff for the coming election. The meeting was opened by Reeve Oddliefson of Bayfield, with greetings from the Village to its guests. Everett Meliwain, the reeve of Goderich township, followed with several remarks. Although the organizational meeting has never been held in Bayfield, the location is fairly central, he said. He was pleased to see a good representation from Goderich township. Elmer Hayter, the reeve of Stanley township, gave a few remarks, indicating thanks to Bayfield for its hospitality. Then the Chairman Harvey Coleman welcomed everyone, commenting especially on the number of ladies at the mebting. The nomination and election of municipal and poll committees followed, conducted by Elmer Bell. "It behooves us to get the troops lined up here for the election which is coming up," he said. Mr. Charlie Scotchmer outlined Bayfield's situation. There will be one poll in Bayfield, handled by the executive committee.
