ewe WATER REST HOME
The days slip by, and now
another week has gone, and soon
we will be into another month,
Even long days which we have
had are noticeably shorter.
Aome of our staff who have
been on vacation are back to
work, and this week Miss Dor-
othy Steckle is vacationing.
On Wednesday evening, the
children from Grand Bend Gospel
Hall provided an evening of
music for the residents.
Thursday afternoon our two
students, Miss Lois Widrick and
Bruce Atkins conducted the bingo
games in the dining -room.
Mr. Hugh Berry spent Wednes-
day afternoon at the County Coun;
cil picnic and enjoyed renewing
old acquaintances and friendships,
Others out visiting during rhe
week were Mrs. Myrtle Woodford,
John Donald, Mrs, Jennetta
Finnigan, Mrs. Emma Shepperd,
Mrs. Grace Burrell, Mrs. Louise
Simpson and Mrs. Mary Faist.
One of our visitors during the
week was a native of Zurich,
Switzerland, and presently living
and working in Ottawa. She was
surprised to find the village as
large and as clean looking as it
is. She found the area quite int-
eresting and spent the weekend
in a private home at R, R. 2, Zur-
lich.
Rev. Harold Dobson, Grand
Bend United Church has charge
of the Sunday evening chapel
service and was accompanied by
the organist, Miss Idella Gabel.
