About 2, 200 Canadians will
receive serious eye injury this
year in and around the home. The
Canadian National Institute for the
Blind suggests these safety tips for
the home gardener. Put garden
tools away after use. Youngsters
can trip and fall over them, res-
ulting in fatal eye injury. Before
spraying weeds, make sure nozzle
openings on cans face the ground
and not your face. Don't wait for
;accidents to happen. They're not
worth it.
