On Wednesday, July 14, the
United Church Women entertained
residents of the Blue Water Rest
Horne for their monthly birthday
party.
Program was opened with a
sing -song conducted by Miss Meda
Surerus accompanied by Mrs. Beat.
rice Hess at the piano. Ethel
Gabel read the 23rd Psalm, foll-
owed by the Lord's Prayer. Mrs.
George Bullock and Miss Lily Greb
entertained with a duet "How
Beautiful Heaven Must Be" ac-
companied by Miss Greb on the ac•
cordian. Miss Olive O'Brien gave
an interesting talk about "The
Good Old Days." Mrs. Bullock
and Mr. Ray Heaman entertained
with violin and piano music. Mrs.
Elwood Truemner read a poem,
"Ma do the Auto." Another
musical number was given by
Miss Lily Greb with the accordian,
Mrs. Bullock with guitar. Mrs.
Newell Geiger gave a reading
"Will You": Several old time
musical numbers were played by
Mr. Neaman on the violin, Mrs.
Bullock at the piano. Sing -song
was conducted by Meda accomp-
anied by Mrs. Hess.
Besides a gift for the residents
who have a birthday in July, each
resident was presented with a
corsage of roses, prepared by Miss
Surerus.
Lunch was served and a short
business meeting followed cond-
ucted by the president, Mrs.
Bullock, regarding the Bean Fest-
ival. Meeting was closed with
the Benediction.

Camp, Guelph.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carr
and family, of Winnipeg are
spending this week at Schade
View, also with the latter's
mother, Mrs. Anne Turkhein,
and other relatives.
Mrs. Allan Gascho returned
home on Sunday from Wellesley
Hospital, Toronto where she had
been a patient for the past two
weeks.

CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY
Fifty-three members of the
late L. H. Rader's family gathered
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Rader, Stratford, Sunday
afternoon to celebrate the 50th
birthday of Elmer. Present from
Dashwood were Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Rader; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin
Rader; David and Paul and Sharon;
Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Rader and
Brian; Mr, and Mrs. Glen Rader,
Heather and Allen; Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Rader and Michael.
Other guests attended from Calgar;
