THURSDAY, JULY 15, 1971 St. Joseph - Drysdale - Blueivater DEBBIE HOGG 1!319657 CORRESPONDENTS 77IERlSA JEE'EWJEY 236 4159 News Along The Shore of Beautiful Lake Huron Mr. and Mrs. Blaise Ducharme are spending their vacation on the Bluewater at the Margaret Masse cottage along with seven of their eight children, Anthony, Vincent, Bonita, Martha, Angela Kenneth and Katherine. Ben and Vivian Graham of Goderich visited Blaise and Joyce Saturday night. Ben is an elect- rician living in Goderich and long time friends of the Ducharm, Mr. Ducharme is assistant sup- erintendent of Maintenance for the Separate School Board caring for 52 Windsor Schools. He also was elected representative of Separate School Ratepayers to the Board of Education, who has 43 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools. While on vacation he says he has a supply of books "Nine Years on the Road" written by his father Alfred Ducharme who passed away July 13, 1970. Since Mrs. Alfred Ducharme has returned to her home on the Bluewater all of the family has been visiting her often and being under the expert care of Sister Prisille Theresa and Sister Rosalie, both her daughters, she is progressing satisfactorily. Linda Jeffrey and Joe Denomme of London also visited the Jeffreys Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fernwood and son Kirk, of Cleveland, Ohio, spent the week at their mother's cottage at Ducharme Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Hammond of London spent the weekend at their cottage near Cantin Beach. Mrs. Pierre Cantin and six of their seven children spent the week at their cottage at Cantin Beach. Mr. Pierre Cantin and David joined them Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Cantin and son are spending a week at their parent's cottage, at Cantin Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Nap Cantin, Robert and his girlfriend spent the weekend at their cottage. Stephenson Clan Meet at Seaforth The 42nd Stephenson Reunion was held at Seaforth Lions Park with 65 attending. Committee members and of- ficers for 1972 and 1973 are: president, Howard Armstrong; vice-president, William Dawson; secretary, Mrs. Gerald Rathwell; table committee, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Willert; freshie committee, Mr. and Mrs. William Consitt; tea committee, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stephenson; sports Mr. and Mrs. Bill Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Turner. Race and game winners were oldest person, Lee M Connell; youngest person, Kathy Rathwell; pre-school race, Danny Turner, Sandra Willert; boys 6- 8, Mark Taylor, Scott Consitt; girls 9-2, Kathy Taylor, Bonnie Daw- son; boys 9-12 Steven Armstrong, Marl< Taylor; young men, Billy Stephenson, Terry 1-lerd; young ladies, Janice Turner; married men, David Turner, married ladies, Ruth Willert, kick the slipper ladies, Sandra Turner; kick the slipper men, Jim Con- sitt; couples relay, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Consitt; couple with largest waist, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gonsitt; clothes pin relay, Ralph Stephen - son's team. A candy scramble was enjoyed by the pre-school children. Mrs. Madeline Beam and family of Detroit are spending their holiday at the cottage of Mrs. Louis Cantin. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Cantin and son spent the weekend at Mrs. Louis Cantins. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Morrison, of Willowdale spent the weekend at their cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jeffrey and family are returning home Saturday, after spending a two week vacation at Ducharme Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Her- Kommer and son Mark, of Dearborn Heights spent a couple days in a trailer at the farm of Mr. Maxime Jeffrey.
