Hensall Program
For Recreation
The three weeks of planned
recreation for the children of
Hensall began on Monday 12
July under the direction of
Mrs. Archie Couper, Cathy Cook
and Sheila Sangster who attend-
ed a Playground Leaders' Course
in Owen Sound, are the two
leaders, and are assisted by vol-
unteers, Bonnie Sangster, Joan
Goddard, Jane I-Ieal, Joan Allan,
Christine Vanstone, Kevin Bis -
back and Tony Kyle. Between
sixty and seventy children regist-
ered the first day.
Cathy and Joan are introducing
drama and puppetry to the
playground this year and their
plays will be made up by the
children and acted in the park.
Sheila is organizing handcrafts
for the small children and
Bonnie and Chris will teach a
group macrame. Mrs. Couper
is working with a group weaving
belts on backstrap looms.
Those boys interested in sports
have Tony and Kevin to organ-
ize ball games. The recreation
period will end with roller skat-

The inaugural meeting of
Huron District No. 23 was held
in Amber Rebekah Lodge, Hen-
sall, on Wednesday g,evenin

Clinton. Morning Star Rebekah
Lodge, Brussels and Pride of
Huron Rebekah Lodge, Exeter,

presided over the meeting,

Mrs. Mary Fisher and Mrs. Bern-
ice Ford, of Exeter, directed
a contest.
