induct Minister
An induction service was held
by the United Church's Huron -
Perth Presbytery at Hensall Uniteq
Church Tuesday, June 29, at
8 p.m. for the Rev. Donald R.
Beck, to officially mark the
beginning of his duties as Minist-
er of the Hensall-Chiselhurst
Pastoral Charge. Mr. Beck was
inducted by Rev. Bruce Guy of
Dashwood who also conducted
the service..
The sermon, addressed to
both incoming minister and cong-
regation, was preached by Rev.
Robert Raymont of North Street
United Church, Godexich.
Married with five children,
Mr, Beck leaves St. Andrew's
United Church, Bayfield, where
he has served for the past five
years. In Hensall he succeeds
Rev. Harold Currie who moves to
Sebringville.
While in Bayfield, Mr. Beck
served on the village council.
He is treasurer of the London
Conference of the United Church
and president of the Huron dist-
rict of the Boy Scouts of Canada.
A social hour followed in the
Fellowship Hall.

Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Dominic Jeffrey were
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Jeffrey and

Denomme, all of London. They
were joined Sunday by Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Rau, of Seaforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Nap Cantin,
Robert and Joan, of Royal Oak,
Michigan, were at their cottage
at St. Joseph.
Mrs. Paul Cantin and family
of Detroit spent the week at
their cottage and were joined
Saturday by Mr. John Paul
Cantin.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brisson
and family are spending the
week at their cottage at St.
Joseph.
Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Cantin
and family of St. Clair Shores,
spent the weekend at their
cottage at St. Joseph.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Bossen-
berry over these past couple of
weeks.
Mrs. Bob Mernovage of Royal
Oak, Michigan, returned home
Sunday after spending a couple
of weeks cleaning her cottage
at Ducharme Beach.
Mrs. Donald Bedard and fam-
ily are spending the summer
months at their cottage at Bay-
view.
Mr. and Mrs. David Jeffrey
of Warren Michigan are now
spending this week at Mrs. Mern-
ovage's cottage at Ducharme
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Morrison
and family of Toronto spent
the weekend down at their
cottage.

LEAVES HURON COUNTY
Tom Clapp, Associate Agri-
cultural Representative, Huron
County, will transfer to the
position of Associate Agricultural
Representative, Dundas County,
effective August 1.
Tom has been responsible for
the co-ordination and develop-
ment of County Dairy Manage-
ment programs and the Feed
Advisory Service.
He enrolled over twenty dairy
farmers on the Canfarm computer
ized monthly mail -in record
keeping system this year. From
this group he organized an active,
Dairy Farm Management Club.
Appointed to Huron in Decemb
er, 1968, Tom worked closely
with 4-1-I Agricultural Club
leaders and members as well as
the County Junior Farmers Assoc-
iation. He also had a special

interest in the Farm Safety prog-
ram.
In the community, Tom was
a member of the Clinton Kins-
men Club and coached the Mid-
gets Hockey team for the past
two seasons. His wife Jan, was a
Public Health Nurse for the
Huron County Health Unit.
