Hensall
Laverne Harburn 22, had the
misfortune to suffer a fall while
roller skating at Palmerston
fracturing his right leg in four
places, which will be in a cast
for three months. A son of Mrs.
Frank Harburn, he is resting
comfortably at his home.
Miss Janice Bonthron left by
plane on June 24, for London,
England, where she will be
working at Bentham Hall - Lond-
on University, for the summer
months.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mousseau
were suddenly surprised last
Friday night when friends arrived
complete with cake and a gift
of a lovely 400 -day anniversary
clock, to celebrate their 25th
wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Johnston
of London, Leslie Cudmore of
Usborne, are vacationing for
two weeks in Vancounver with
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Low and
family.
ENJOY BUS TRIP
Kippen East Women's Institute
and friends numbering 41, enjoy-
ed a bus trip to Toronto. They
visited Canada Dry and the
Ontario Science Centre. In the
evening they shopped at the
recently opened Fairview Shopp-
ing Plaza, On the way home
they dined at the Loft Restaurant
in Kitchener, Mrs. R. Kinsman
and Mrs, James Drummond were
in charge of arrangements. Plans
are being made for a trip to
Essex county.
Visitors with Mrs: R. M, Peck
and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert
Geiger were Mr. and Ivlrs. Lorne
Elder of Kingsville, and Mr. and
Mrs. A, E. Howe, of Tucson,
Arizona, who are at present vis-
iting their s and daughter-in-
law and fami y, Dr. an d Mrs.
W.A. Howe, in Niagara Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Packham
(Sylvia Henderson) of Windsor,
England, arrived in Canada by
jet on Monday, June 28, to vac-
ation for three weeks with the
latters mother, Mrs. John Hend-
erson and members of the family
in Hensall, Ingersoll and Gorrie.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Love
have returned from a trip through
Northern Ontario, where they
visited relatives at Thunder Bay.

The marriage of Doris Marilyn
Riley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Nelson Riley, R.R.2, Kipp en,
and Stewart Jack Bannerman,
son of Mrs. Runa Bannerman and
the late James Bannerman, of
R. R. 4, Seaforth, took place on
Saturday, June 5, at 3 p.m. at
the Blake Mennonite Church,
with Rev, Cyril Gingerich offic-
iating.
Wedding music was provided
by a quartett consisting of Irvin
Martin, Stuart Steckle, Randy
Collins and Paul Steckle.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore an A-line
gown of pebble satin with an
empire waist, and applicade
daisies on the bodice. The dress
featured a rolled collar, long
sleeves and a detachable train.
Her headpiece was a cluster of
flowers with pearls and crushed
sequins, which held a bouffant
veil. She carried a cascade of
red roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Richard Bender, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Lewis Gingerich and Miss Elean-
Mennonite Church
or Riley, also sisters of the bride.
They were similarly dressed in
floor -length gowns of yellow
polyester and crepe, trimmed
with applicade shasta daisies
and matching headpieces. They
carried colonial bouquets of
shasta daisies.
Miss Dorcas Gingerich, a niece
of the bride, was flower girl and
was dressed in a white gown de -

Linda Beer, Tony Kyle top
girl and boy students of Grade
8I Hensall Public School
were presented with the Kin-
ette Scholarship Award of $25.
each for having the highest
average for the 1970-71 term.
Principal Robert Reaburn made
the presentation. This is a pro-
ject of the Hensall Kinette Club.

Following the reception at the
Zurich Community Centre the
couple left for a wedding trip to

blue crimplene dress with white
accessories, and a corsage of
