Some day soon, one of the
Canadian universities will set
up a course on the care and
feeding of camels. And will the
people who graduate in it go to
the Middle East? Don't be silly;
they'll just go to the other Can-
adian universities and set up
feeding of camels. Graduates
from these courses will go to
teach the subject in high schools
and community colleges. Event-
ually, Canada will have 10, 000
accredited camelologist, none
of whom has ever seen a camel.

Farmers now spraying Spring
Grain Crops are advised to do so
with caution when warm, humid
temperatures and/or moderate
winds are present. Erly turnip
and pea crops are now well along
and VERY succeptible to drift
of hormone type herbicides used
on grain crops. The past year
there was some spray damage to
turnips and we do not want to
see it occur again this year.
Farmers spraying hormone
herbicides during windy weather
can be held liable for damages
they cause on neighbouring crops
due to their negligence in care-
ful operation of the sprayer,
It is far better that farmers
take care and avoid damage to
neighbour's crops and possible
legal action.
FIRST IN THE AREA - A first for this area was installed in
Zurich last week when officials of the Hay Municipal Telephone
System set up a new style pay phone in Zurich, next to the Bank
of Montreal. The new unit is called a "Boothette, " and was orig-
inally designed in California. Chairman of the Telephone System,
Joseph Hoffman, is seen here with the new unit.
