Huron N.D.P.
Huron riding association of the
New Democratic Party will send
a resolution to Ontario Lands and
Forests Minister Rene Brunelle
urging conservation of the lands
in the Bruce Peninsula for public
use and the preservation of nat-
ure.
Members of the association whc
met last Wednesday night in Ilen-
sall said the residents of Huron
County are particularly interested
in the neighboring peninsula area,
and that the association is conc-
erned "over the news of a poss-
ible sale to private interests of
the Niagara Escarpment lands
and, in particular, the Tober-
mory area and the islands adja-
cent to the Bruce Peninsula.
The meeting named to a res-
olution committee Art Lavery
of Goderich, Randy Collins of
Hensall, Wayne Gornall of Clint-
on and Mrs. David Leader of
Hensall.
The party will hold its nomin-
ation meeting Wednesday, June
23, to choose a candidate for the
riding in the next provincial ele-
ction.
