A meeting was held at the
home of Mrs. Jan Simons on
Monday evening to choose the
executive for the newly formed
Bayfield Figure Skating Club,
The new executives will be:
President, Mrs. Jan Simons; Vice
President, Mrs. Helen Beech;
Secretary -Treasurer, Mrs. Ruth
Makins; National Test Chairman,
Mrs. Dee Wallace,
Mrs. Alma Craven, President
of the Goderich Figure Skating
Club, was very helpful in
answering all questions
concerning the formation of a
figure skating club. The meeting
closed with refreshments served
by hostess Mrs. Jan Simons.
Mr. and Mrs. Garfield
Anthony of Weston were
weekend guests with Mrs.
Delbert Haw. Mrs. Anthony
visited her brother Delbert Haw
in Victoria Hospital, London on
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Deller and
Kerry of Orangeville spent the
weekend with Mrs. Delbert Haw
and visited Mrs. Deller's father

On Tuesday evening films were
shown entitled "Olmpic E11<" and
"Yukon Old, Yukon New."
On Wednesday afternoon, the
executive of the Ladies Auxiliary
of the 1-lome held a business
meeting. We are very grateful
for their donation of rubber rings
and sheepskins for use in the
Hospital Wing for Residents who
are bedfast. They have announc-

A full minor baseball program
is being organized in Dashwood
for the summer months.
Entries have been filed for play
in the Western Ontario Athletic
Association in pee wee, bantam
and juvenile categories.
In addition, the Dashwood
Tigers will be back in action in
the Huron -Perth intermediate
league and will be attempting to
regain the OBA "D" title that
eluded them last year after two
successful years.

The residents enjoyed their
weekly game of bingo on Thurs-
day evening and wish to thank
Harry Floffman for the extra
bingo cards.
We are planning a special ev-
ening on May 25 and hope to
have films of Holland to show,
and would be interested in having
any of our Dutch friends in the
community who are musically
inclined provide a few musical
numbers during the evening. We
will be happy to hear from them
concerning this.
On Sunday evening, Rev. Har-
man Heeg, of the Christian Ref-
orm Church, Exeter, was in
charge of the chapel service. He
was accompanied by a youth
group from his church who prov-
ided folk music during the service
The residents were very pleased
to have these young people pres-
ent and certainly enjoyed the
music they provided. Following
the chapel service, the 1-luronia
Male Choir presented a musical
program for the residents and
visitors present. The music was
indeed enjoyed by all, and we
hope they will return again in
the not too distant future.
