Zurich Women's Institute Name
Officers to Serve For Coming Term
Mrs. Lawrence Regier, Mrs.
M. Vermont and Mrs. Arthur
Brisson were in charge of the
April program of the Zurich
Women's Institute. After a sing-
song, two brothers, Claude and
Mozart Gelinas, entertained the
Institute wich their musical tal-
ent. They played familiar numb-
ers on their electric guitar and
violin.
Mrs. Lorne Klopp conducted
the business. The treasurer,
Mrs. H. Thiel, was commented
on her complete profitable rep-
ort.
Institute members are invited
to the 4- H girls clubs fashion
show at the Township Hall, on
April 28. A display of their
completed projects, "Summer
Separates, " will be shown.
A donation of $25 was voted
to the Zurich Guides for the
Girl Guide's new camp near
Goderich.

member of the Women's Institute'
Mrs. N. Geiger presented a pro-
gram of a short course she at-
tended in 1934, from January
8 to February 2. The Zurich
Institute sponsored this program.
Men and women of various ages
enjoyed attending the various
classes for cooking, sewing,
crafts, agriculture, home nurs-
ing and others. Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Westlake, Mrs, Harvey
Hohner, Mrs. Russell Grainger,
Mrs. Victor Dinnin and many
others in the district enjoyed
the course. The highlight of the
course was the banquet which
featured specially prepared foods.
A member answered with com-
ments that she liked the friendly
Huron -Perth Group See Films-
Hears 'Comments on Respiratory Disease
A Respiratory Disease Film
Festival, sponsored by Huron -
Perth TB and Respiratory Dis-
ease Association, was held in
the Perth -Huron Regional School
of Nursing in Stratford.
Mrs. Edith Brothers, president
of the association was chairman.
Dr. A • R. Row, ear, nose and
throat specialist commented on
the film, As We See It, stressing
damage done by cigarette smok-
ing. He also commented on the
film, Long Term Care of the
Asthmatic Child,
Following the noon luncheon
Dr. J. L, Penistan, director of
laboratories, Stratford General
Hospital, commented on the
film, The Management of
Chronic Respiratory Insufficiency
Dr. K. W. Hampson, medical
director Perth Health Unit, spoke
on pollution and commented on
the film To Clear the Air. He
also gave comments on the film,
Life and Breath.
A question and answer period
followed.
Members of the "Man's En-
vironment Club: of Northwestern
Secondary School, Stratford,
distributed and took orders for
pamphlets, the sponsors of the
event, the Huron -Perth TB and
Respiratory Disease Association,
has at their educational centre
on Wellington Street in Stratford
The Film Festival was planned
by the Education Committee of
the Association under the chair-
manship of Mrs. Edith Fisher,
Mitchell.
