It turned out to be lovely
Easter weekend, despite a bleak
beginning of snow on Friday,
and many people took advantage
of both the weather and the
Zurich 4-H Girls

Twelve members attended
meeting six at the home of Mrs.
Orlen Schwartzentruber, on
March 31, Achievement Day
will be held May 8, at South
Huron High School.
Mrs. Schwartzentruber showed
us how to put facings in properly,
The girls made samples to put
in their books. Later garments
and some worked on their rec-
ord books.
Eleven members attended
meeting seven at the home of
Mrs. Schwartzentruber. Most of
the girls are almost done with
their garments. Some of the
girls have to hem them and
that is what we did.
If your dress needs to be hem-
med four inches, this is what
you do: Sew 4"from the edge,
then turn it up and pin it four
inches. You turn the edge back
so that the 4 seam is showing.
Then you sew by hand with
little stitches.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilt Mitchell
of London spent the weekend at
their cottage "Birchcliff" where
Mr. Mitchell is recovering from
an operation on his foot ac West-
minster Hospital, London.
Miss Anna Selkirk, London,
was a weekend guest at the
summer home of Mr. and Mrs.
Allan Ross at Bayview.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Durand
and family, of London, Mr. and
Mrs. David Durand and son of
the Bluewater, Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Taylor, London and Mr.
and Mrs. Tony Regier, of Det-
roit were all Easter visitors at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil
Durand and family.
Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Dennis Charrette over
the Easter weekend included Mr.
and Mrs. Phil Charrette and
family of Kingsville, Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis Durand and family,
of London, Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Kuzmick and family, of Brant-
ford and Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Charrette and family, of Hensall.
