No doubt most of the mothers
around heaved a big sigh of re-
lief as the children went back to
school this week, however, the
residents enjoyed the visits of
their grandchildren and other
children through their winter
vacation.
Last Monday evening, the
Ladies of Dashwood United Churcl
sponsored the monthly birthday
party, and the residents enjoyed
the program presented by the
children, and the delicious
lunch served following it. Res-
idents celebrating their birthdays
during the month of March
were, Mrs. Emma Shepherd, Mrs,
Jenny Hotson, Mr. Theodore
Schroeder, Mr. Arthur Gardiner,
Mr. Hugh Berry and Mr. Francis
Clark.
On Tuesday evening films
.
at BWRH
were shown. "Trail Ride" was
the story of a boy's camp where
they spent the week learning to
ride and handle horses, and a
"Ghost of a River" which showed
the part of a river plays in Brit-
ish Columbia in the pulp and
paper industry. Thursday even-
ing, the residents enjoyed their
evening of bingo.
We appreciate the time Miss
Meda Surerus is taking to decor-
ate our windows and doors with
spring flowers and birds. It helps
to bring a bit of spring indoors.
On April 22nd, the Ladies
Auxiliary of the home will be
sponsoring a film for the public
in the dining room of the home.
Watch for posters and further
information in this column conc-
erning this film.
Rev. Currie, of Hensall United
Church had charge of the evening
chapel service, and was accomp-
anied by some of the choir and
the organist. The residents are
grateful to the organists and
choirs who join then in their
evening chapel services.

THURSDAY, APRIL 1,1971
Cameron spent a day visiting in
Seaforth last week, and Mr.
Edwin Gardiner is spending a
few days with his daughter in
Goderich this week. It Ls nice
that the weather has improved
sufficiently that some of the
residents can get out to visit now
and again.
