United Church visited the printing plant of the Zurich Citizens News last Wednesday morning, to get an inside view of the procedures involved in publishing a newspaper. In the top photo a staff member, Mrs. Hubert Schilbe, is seen explaining details of the paste-up department in the plant to some of the young people, while in the lower photo another group watches Allan Brokenshire set type for the newspaper on a linotype. The group also watched the dark -room procedure, which includes photographing and developing the pages of the paper into negative form. Twenty-three answ- ered the roll call on "something we like about spring." Mrs. Keith McBride opened the meeting followed by prayer. The devotion was taken from The World Day of Prayer Leaflet. Mrs. Mgin McKinley read Psalm 51, assisted by Mrs. Jack Eckel and Mrs. Walter Eckel. A film on Jerusalem, past and present, was shown by Mrs. Berne McKinley.. Mrs, Arnold Keys conducted the business. Cards were read from Mrs. Allan Hayter and a card and donations from the Dinsmores. Mrs. Agin McKinley moved to accept the invitation. to Kippers on April 8, at 8:15. This was seconded by Mrs. Allen Armstrong. Mrs. Bob Peck moved to send in money for each quart- er, seconded by Mrs., Elmer Hay- ter. Hymn 380 was sung and Mrs. Keith McBride closed the meetini with prayer. Mrs. Berne McKin- ley conducted a sing -song of Irish songs while Mrs. Clare McBride's group prepared lunch.
