Members of the team are, back row left to right, Bob Borland, coach; Marls Richardson, Chris Mitchell, Mike Schroeder, llowie Green, Wilfred Dekort, and Jeff Finch, coach. Middle row left to right, Paul Backx, Gery Romphf, John Vandenburg, Steven Borland, John Baltessen. Front row left to right, Bill Lovie, Ted Stanlake, Terry Luther, Pete Sinits, and Carl Wild. Grand Bend Peewees Tie Playoff Round With Ilderton; Play Here Friday Night (by Doug Turkheim) The Grand Bend Peewees are currently taking part in the semi-finals for the All - Ontario Championship and after losing the first game by a close 5-4 decision, came back and won the second game 3-0 to tie. the series at one game each. The third and final game of the series will be played in Zurich on Friday night, starting at 7:00 p. m. ILDERTON 5 - GRAND BEND 4 Last Friday night the Grand Bend Peewees started the semi-finals for the All -Ontario title and were defeated 5-4 by Ilderton. After falling behind 2-0 Grand Bend came back to tie the game by the middle of the second period. Ilderton then took a 3-2 lead, but again Grand Bend came back strong to tie the game. In the final period Ilderton scored early to take a 4-3 lead. Minutes later Grand Bend again tied the score. The winning Ilderton goal was scored with about two minutes remaining and this time Grand Bend was unable to come back to tie the game. GRAND BEND 3 - ILDERTON 0 On Monday night it was do- or-die for Grand Bend, and they came back very strong scoring a 3-0 shut -out victory, Midway through the first period, Mike Jackson shot Grand Bend into a 1-0 lead, scoring on a play from Cam- eron Haist, Early in the second period Jackson scored his second goal of the game with Cameron Haist again drawing the assist. The final goal of the game carne near the end of the final period when Steve Jennison scored on an unassisted play. 0 Zurich Peewees in at Goderich The Zurich PeeWees are currently taking part in the PeeWee hockey tournament being held in Goderich this week. In their first game Zur- ich downed Ripley 2-1. Al- though Zurich out -shot Ripley, they were unable to come up with any more scoring plays. On Wednesday morning the PeeWees 'played against Blyth and should they have won that game, they will move into the finals for the "D" championship. In the Ripley game, Fred Mommersteeg scored both goals with Bill Hay assisting on his first.
