Spring Swingers
Discuss Projects
( by Torii Pennings)
Zurich V held their second
meeting on March 10 at Mrs.
Bob McKinley's house at 4:30.
Everyone was present and answ-
ered to the roll call, "One
point to consider when buying
fabric for summer separates."
We opened with the 4-H Pledge
and Toni Pennings read the
last minutes, We named our-
selves "The Seven Spring
Swingers, " and decided that
our covers will be pinkduo
tangs. We discussed how to
adjust patterns and we read
from the members phamplet.
The Rita Pennings demonstrat-
ed how to adjust the bodice,
Darlene McBride showed us
how to adjust the length and
width of the hips of a skirt,
and Debbie McKinley showed
us how to adjust pants. Then
we took turns measuring each
other and recording them in
our member's phamplet.
We held our next meeting
at Mrs. Armstrong's on March
17, at 7:00 p.m. Everyone
was present and answered to
the roll call, "a pattern alter-
ation and how to make it."
Debbie McKinley read the
minutes of the last meeting.
Our next meeting is March 23
at 7:00 at McKinley's home.
We discussed how to cut out
material, staystitch, and put
in the darts. Debbie McKinley
demonstrated the latter two.
We then cut out our material
for the separates that we are
making.
