Prior to this they had won out over Lucknow two games to one, to reach the final round. The team also won the 'D' Trophy in the Lucan Peewee tournament, beating both Lucan and Ilderton teams. Zurich Bointams Win Title In Clinton Minor Hockey Meet (by Doug Turkheim) Last Sunday afternoon the Zurich Bantams competed in the final game for the "D" championship in the Clinton Bantam Tournament being held during the past few weeks. Zurich won the "D" champion- ship by defeating Paisley 9-4. Executives Meet The members of the Huron - Perth Presbyterial executive met at Egmondville United Church, on Wednesday, March 10. Theme for the meeting, "Using the tools God has given you." Mrs. Stewart Miner opened the meeting with scripture and prayer. Reports were given and plans made for the work of the Presbyterial this year. This meeting was well attend ed as evidenced by the roll call Ken Regier scored the only Zurich goal of the first period at the 3:40 mark putting them in fron 1-0. Less than one min- ute later Kevin Parker scored for Paisley to end the first per- iod in a 1-1 tie. At the 6:02 mark of the sec- ond period Harry Smits put Zurich ahead 2-1 on an unas- sited goal. Gerald Weido gave Zurich a 3-1 lead at the 7:05 mark of the same period scor- ing on a play along with Greg Love. Two goals, twenty seconds apart by Pat Bedard in the final period gave Zurich a 5-1 lead. Ten seconds after Bedard's last goal, Harry Smits scored on a lone play to put Zurich ahead 6-1 before Paisley came back with a goal. Gerald Weido and Harry Smits each scored one goal and assist- ed on each others within 20 seconds before the midway mark to put them in front 8-3. The final Zurich goal came at the 17:30 mark when Gerald Weido scored his third goal of the game. At the 19:12 mark George Campbell scored his second of the game to make it 9-4 and gave Zurich the "D" Championship Trophy. To confirm the action taken by the Board of Directors at their regular meeting held on February 11, 1971, namely: That Section IV of Article VI of our By -Laws is hereby repealed and that the following be substituted therefore: "The Directors may, from time to time, borrow additional mon- ies from the Members at a rate of interest to be determined by the Board of Directors."
