Staystitching was also shown and the reason it is done is to prevent stretching on curved areas such as neck, shoulder, armhole and waist. How to do staystitching: 1, Use some coloured thread. 2. Sew using regular stitch. 3. Sew 1/2 inch from edge. 4. Sew on one thickness of mat- erial. 5. Sew in direction of grain of fabric. All the outfits are cut out and next week the girls start the long journey to the end of what they hope is a nice outfit. Anglican Women Discuss Projects The regular meeting of the A.C.W. of St. Paul's Anglican Church was held on Thursday, March 11, at the home of Mrs. Fanny Clark. The president opened the meeting with the member's prayer. Minutes were read, as well as thank -you notes for treats sent to sick and shut-ins. The ladies were reminded of the A. C.W. annual meeting to be held at St. James Westminster in London, on April 29. Fund raising projects were discussed. The topic for the day was taken by Mrs. F. Clark Roll call was answered by read- ing verses from the Bible hav- ing the word "rock" in it. Mrs. Anderson closed the meeting with prayer.
