From all reports, March
roared in some of the areas
around and about us, but right
here, the weather stayed quite
clear, so here's hoping we don't
have to pay up for it later on.
Monday and Tuesday evening
our film "Ma & Pa Kettle on Old
MacDonald's Farm" was shown,
along with a feature film, "The
Rascals." Both adults and child-
ren appeared to have enjoyed
these humorous films, and we
are making plans to have anoth-
er film sometime towards the
end of March, so watch our
column for further information.
Bingo was played as usual on
Thursday evening, and we are
grateful to the members of the
Ladies Auxiliary who come to
assist with the bingo.
The sympathy of the Residents
and staff is extended to the fam-
ily of the late Mr. Garnet Flynn
who passed away in St. Joseph's
Hospital last week, and the
family of the late Mrs. Ellen
Boyes who passed away here at
the home on Sunday. Mrs. Boyes
will be missed by all of us as
she was always a willing particip'
ant in all of our activities in the
Horne.
Rev. Kalbfleisch of Zurich
conducted the chapel service
Sunday evening. We welcome
Mrs. Emma Shepherd of Hensall
who has taken up residency here.

Health Unit Gets
Two More Nurses
A geriatrics nurse to work
with the elderly citizens in
Huron County and a nurse to
work in the field and drug and
alcohol addiction have been
approved for the Huron County
Health Unit this year.
A bid for a fourth public
health inspector and a total
dental program was rejected.
The additional nurses will
cost $11, 650 representing about
two-thirds costs for a year since
the nurses will not be working
in the county for a full 12 mon-
ths in 1971.
Council cut from the budget
$6, 300 for a sanitary inspector
and about $11, 000 for the increa
sed dental program.
Total budget will be $209,
462.28 for regular program;
$53, 700 for program begun in
1970 and continuing in 1971;
and $11, 650 for new program.
The total proposed budget was
$294, 041.
