Golden Glimpses
Finally, after many hours of
hard work on the part of the
snow removal equipment, the
last of the cars have been re-
moved from the snow drifts in
our parking lot. With a little
luck on the part of the weath-
erman, we may be able to keep
ourselves dug out for the rest
of the winter.
The films shown on Tuesday
evening were "Where Winter's
a Pleasure, " showing Banff with
its skiing and other winter sports,
and "Vancouver Island, " this
picture was particularly enjoy-
ed as some of our residents have
visited the Island at some time
of their life. Thursday evening,
bingo was enjoyed.
Don't forget our special film
night featuring "Ma & Pa Kettle
on Old MacDonald's Farm" to
be shown on Monday and Tues-
day, February 22 and 23 at 7:15
p.m. Circle your calendar now
as a reminder. We are grateful
to Mr. Ivan Kalbfleisch for tak-
ing care of our film rental for
the next five weeks. The resid- .
at BWRH
eats look forward to our weekly
film night.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Mr.
Cyril Gingerich of the Zurich
and Blake Mennonite Churches.
We are pleased to have a numb-
er of members from the Men-
nonite Congregation accompany
the Minister to help with the
singing of the hymns.
We are happy to welcome Mr.
Garnet Flynn, of Exeter, who
has taken up residency here.
The sympathy of the residents
and staff is extended to the fam-
ily of the late Mrs. Ida Wurm,
who passed away at the home
last week.
The following thoughts were
contributed by Father C,A.
Doyle, formerly of St. Boniface
Parish, when the home first
began its operation.

Blessed are they who know
that my ears today must strain
to catch the things they say.
Blessed are they who seem to
know that my eyes are dim and
my wits are slow.
Blessed are they who looked
away when coffee spilled at
the table today.
Blessed are they with a cheery
smile who stop to chat for a
little while.
Blessed are they who never
say, "You've told that story
twice today."
Blessed are they who know the
ways to bring back memories
of yesterdays.
Blessed are they who make it
known that I'm loved, respected
and not alone.
Blessed are they who know
I'm at a loss to find the strength
to carry the Cross.
Blessed are they who ease the
days on my journey Home in
loving ways.
