ZURICH 2- WILTON GROVE 1 In the final game of the tournament the Zurich Bantams played an exciting game which went into two periods of over- time before Gerald Weido came up with the goal that mov- ed them into the North Amer- ican Championship. Zurich downed Wilton Grove 2-1 in the second overtime period. There was no scoring in the first period as each team play- ed a strong game of hockey and neither team could seem to come up with an opening goal. The second period saw Zurich slacken off and Glencoe carne back and outscored them 4-1, to tie the game at 5-5. Jim Dy - mock and Gary Howe each scor- ed twice for Glencoe to put them back into the game. Ger- ald Weido tied the game before the period ended scoring on a play from Pat Bedard. Zurich came out flying in the final stanza, and when the per- iod was only 14 second old, Bill Bedard scored what proved to be the winning goal. Before the midway mark of the period Zurich led 9-5 with goals by Gerald Weido, Harry Smits and Pat Bedard. With two minutes remaining, Gerald Weido scor- ed to end it at 10-5.
