Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bloch
have moved their household ef-
fects to Seaforth where they
intend to reside,
Mr. Alvin Surerus left on
Friday morning for Oakville,
where he is employed as a teach-
er of languages at an education-
al institution.
Mr. and Mrs. William Jenni-
son, of the Sauble Line, left
last week for the west where
they will visit for some time.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Melick
attended the funeral of Mrs.
Wein, of Crediton, on Wednes-
day.
The inaugural meeting of
Hay Council was held last
Monday. Reeve Elmore Klopp
was in charge with John Camp-
bell, Samuel Deitz, W. E. Turn-
bull and Louis Rader comprising
the council.
C. Fritz has recently sold his
half interest in the St. Joseph
Fish Company to E,J, Brisson,
formerly of Windsor. The firm
will operate under the name of
Brisson and Brisson.
Miss Dorothy Truemner left
for Toronto on Monday to resume
her duties as a nurse.

William H. Brown, local shoe
merchant, is attending the big
Shoe Style Show Convention at
the Royal York Hotel, Toronto,
this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gascho
and son Ross, Dr. and Mrs. H.1-1,
Cowan and little Marian, and
Miss Pearl Wurtz were Sunday
visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. P, Ravelle, at Grand Bend.
A chicken supper was given
on Tuesday evening, January 13,
to the owners of flocks which
have been banded by the govern-
ment inspector in connection
with J. E. McKinley's hatchery.
A very painful accident occur -
ed to Milton McAdams on the
local rink last Friday when the
puck accidently hit Mr. Mc-
Adams just below the eye, in-
flicting a wound that caused
four stitches to close.
Mrs. Laird Mickle and little
son, returned from Seaforth
hospital, on Monday last.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Klopp
visited with friends and relatives
in Detroit over the weekend,
Miss Florence Mittleholtz
has returned to Windsor after
visiting with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Theo. Mittleholtz,
Miss Vera Decker and Allan
Fraser, of Exeter, visited at the
home of the former's mother,
Mrs. Clara Decker, and sister,
Mr, and Mrs. Earl Thiel.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gemming
and daughter Sandra left for
Rochester, N.Y. where the
former will continue his univer-
sity studies.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinnin,
of Guelph, were visitors at the
home of the former's brother,
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dinnin.
Leroy Thiel visited friends in
London during the New Year's
vacation.
Miss Edith and Miss Alma
Doerr, of Saskatchewan, who
have been visiting at the home
of their uncle and aunt. Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Thiel, have
left for London, where they
have accepted positions.

With the cold days and nights
still much colder, the ice on
the local arena is in tip- top
shape and hockey as well as
pleasure skating is being much
enjoyed. Eimer Thiel is the
season's caretaker.
Dr. G. St. Pierre wishes to
advise his patients that he will
terminate his practice in Zurich
on January 31, 1956.
At the Zurich arena last Thurs-
day evening paced by Don Hesse
with three goals and Ben Gignac
with two, the Zurich Flyers
chalked up a 7-5 victory over
the Clinton Colts.
A nomination meeting will
be held January 20, to fill the
vacant Hensall reeveship posit-
ion. The vacancy arose through
the death of William G. Parke.
Sorry to report that Ross
Johnston, proprietor of the
Dominion House, is confined to
his room,

are parents of Pauline, a 28 year old mongaloid
daughter, who is happily employed at the Oppor-
tunity and Training Centre in London, and a son
Anthony Jr., a high school student. They are among
the early founders of the London Association, and
have many 'interesting experiences to share with

is progressing on schedule, The
contractor, John Erb, of Well-
esley, says the building should
be ready for occupancy in Feb-

Joseph's Hospital, London for
treatment of abdominal injuries
he received on January 11, in
Dashwood. Denomme was
thrown frons his machine and
struck a hydro pole on Emery
Street. The snow vehicle cont-
inued on for another 55 feet
and collided with a tree,
Constable Dale Lamont est-
imated damage to both mach-
ines at approximately $75. each,
One motor vehicle collision
was reported on private property
on January 14. A pickup truck
operated by Mrs. Jean Easton,
40, of Usborne Township, left
an ice covered laneway and
struck a tree. Constable Bill
Glassford estimated damage
at $500 to the Easton vehicle,
No major crime occurrences
were reported to the Exeter
OPP during the last week.
