CONVENTION - A number of delegates from this area attended the annual convention of the National Farm Union in Winnipeg last week, and posed for a photo with officials of the NFU at the convention headquarters. Huron- Perth Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association on Wednesday. Routine reports were given by Tom Leiper, Londesboro, Case Finding; Mrs. Edith Fisher, Mit- chell, Education' Miss Verna Dunsmore, Stratford, Rehabilitat- ion and Social Service; and Ralph Goren, Stratford, Christmas Seal Campaign. In his report Mr. Leiper stated that all factories in the two Counties were being approached regarding Pulmonary Function testing of employees. Mrs. Fisher reported that many educational articles are being distributed daily from the Assoc- iation office and that many other educational items had been car- ried on since last meeting. Mr. Goren reported that the Christmas Seal Campaign had received $11, 000, to date. A total of 35,138 letters with Christ- mas seals had gone to Huron - Perth homes. Everyone Welcome St. Boniface CWL Entertain Guests There was an attendance of seventy-one ladies gathered for the December meeting of St. Boniface Catholic Women's League. Visitors were from the neighbouring parishes of St. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1970 Peters and Mount Carmel, Regular business included a report on the parish party, held in the Community Centre in November. Proceeds from this event have been sent to Brother Bob Mittleholtz. A decision to hold the next regular meeting in February was approved. A social hour of bingo and lunch concluded the evening.
