Flyers and Union Teams Post Victories
In Zurich Rec League Activity
FLYERS 4 - SABRES 3
Last Thursday night the Flyers
came back from a 3-0 setback
and won the Rec League game by
a 4-3 margin.
Larry Denomme with two goals
and one by Ken Clarke put the
Sabres ahead 3-0 in the first per-
iod. Tim Decker and Gord Hay
put the Sabres back in the game
in the second period and it ended
3-2.
The final period saw Gord Hay
and Gary Gingerich score the
tying and winning goal, to give
the Flyers their victory.
FARMER'S U. 11- MATES 4
Thursday night saw the Mates
fall in the hands of the Farmer's
Zuric'h Team
Win Two Games

On Monday night the Zurich
Squirts played host to Adastral
Park and trounced them 12-1.
Zurich took a 3-0 lead in the
first period and increased it to
7-0 at the end of two periods.
The final period saw Zurich
outscore Adastral Park 5-1, to
give them a 12-1 victory.
Zurich goals were scored by
Wayne Thiel with five, followed
by Steve Grainger with a hat -
trick. Steven Overholt scored
twice while singles were added
by Paul Haggitt and Grant Love.

Larry Hess and Martin Vander-
berk scored first period goals for
the Mates which gave them a 2-1
lead. The Farmer's Union goal
of the first period was scored by
Gerald Shantz.
The second period saw the
Farmer's Union outscore the
Mates 5-1. Isidore Laporte scored
the Mate's goal with Farmer's
Union goals going to Jim Consitt
Ron Oesch, Gerald Shantz, Pete
Bedard and Ray Weido.
Again in the final period the
Farmer's Union outscored the
Mates 5-1. Eric Smale scored
the Mate's goal while Gerald
Shantz scored all five goals for
the Farmer's Union.
BLUEWATI 2 8 - HENSALL 8
Sunday night the Bluewater
and Hensall Generals played to
an 8-8 tie.
The first period ended in a 3-3
tie with Bluewater goals being
scored by Leo Ducharme with
two and Don O'Brien one. Hen-
sall goals were scored by Rob
Parker, Bob Carlile and Charles
Dalrymple.
The middle stanza saw the
Bluewater outscore Hensall 3-2.
Don O'Brien scored twice and
Bernie Denomme once. Murray
Bell and Bob Carlile scored Hen-
salPs goals.
Don O'Brien scored twice for
the Bluewater in the final period.
Bob Carlile scored twice and
Murray Baker once for Hensall
to end the game in an 8-8 tie.
