Driveways, sidewlaks, doorsteps and porches become slippery and dangerous; iron railings begin to corrode; some concrete starts to flake off, or scale. Many homeowners use salt to make the ice less hazardous. Salt however, is highly corrosive, and harms the grass beneath the snow so that by spring lawns are discolored and unhealthy. Zurich Midgets Lose Two Games To Strong Mitchell Squad Last Week (by Doug Turl:heim) MITCHELL 6 - ZURICH 3 Monday night the Zurich Mid- gets fell in the hands of Mitchell as they were downed 6-3. Mitchell took a 1-0 lead in the first period and increased the lead by one goal in the second period, before Zurich came back with a goal off the stick of Ron Clarke. The second period ended with the score 2-1 in favor of Mitchell. The third period saw Zurich fall apart allowing their oppon- ents to score three quick goals, to take a 5-1 lead. Zurich carne back in the game with two goals as Ron Clarke knocked in his second goal and Rick Grenier scored the other. Before the game concluded the Mitchell team scored once more to end the scoring at 6-3. MITCHELL 3 - ZURICH 2 Last Wednesday night the Zurich Midgets played a very strong game but were edged by one goal, as they were downed 3-2 by Mitchell. Zurich got off to a bad start as they allowed Mitchell to score three goals to take a 3-0 lead before they found range for the first goal. Zurich came back before the end of the sec- ond period to narrow the margin to 3-2. Although Zurich had many chances to tie the game in the last period, they just didn't get any of the breaks and so had to settle for a 3-2 loss.
