Mr. Hay- ter has declared himself as a candidate for the wardenship of Huron County, in January. Steckle, who will probably go on record as being one of the youngest members of the counc- il in Stanley for some time, operates a farm on the Bronson Line north. In his election camp- aign he made it known that he is opposed to a system of region- al government, and apparently he had a large following of ratepayers who feel the same way he does. He is a director of the South Huron Local of the National Farm Union, and an executive member of the 1-luron Liberal Association.
