The late Mr, Dove was in the U. S, Army during World War II. Before his retirement he was pay master at the Fischer Body Plant at Grand Blanc. Harry Horton, who has been a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, has returned home. Thirty-nine Christmas gifts were delivered by members of Hensall Kinette Club on Sunday, for their annual visit to sick and shut-ins in South Huron Hospital, Exeter; Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich; Huronview; Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, and shut-ins in the village. This is an annual project of this active club. Mrs. Alma Hess and Mrs. Grace McEwen visited over the weekend with relatives in Wat- ford. Hensall Kinsmen Club will play host for the annual senior citizens Christmas party, at the Hensall Public School, Thursday, December 17, at 7:15 p.m. Ent- ertainment will include a tour of the surrounding community, a film and local talent. Lunch will be served. 0 Amber Rebeka'hs Exchange Gifts The regular meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge took the form of a Christmas party Wednesday, December 2, with a good attend- ance, with Noble Grand, Mrs. Jack Taylor presiding. The hall was lovely decorated in yuletide emblems. A letter was read from the recreation board asking for a delegation to attend a meeting on Thursday evening, December 3, to arrange plans for the Winter Carnival. Mrs. Ray Consitt and Mrs. Garfield Broderick volunteered to visit the Queensway Nursing Home. After the meeting a short prog- ram of Christmas readings and carols took place, and an ex- change of gifts among members. ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS Six New Brownies Join at Hensall Spruce boughs formed a setting of the enchanted forest in which six Brownies were enrolled. Tawny Owl, Mrs. Roger Veneer assisted by Mrs. Eric Luther cond- ucted the ceremony while Brown Owl, Mrs. Robert Cook enrolled Vickie Mann, Sandra Dixon, Becky Baker, Anna Marie Duffy, Laurie Flynn and Tammy Turner. Interest badges were presented to; Julie Mock, toymakers; Cherly Fuss, housekeepers. Mrs. Eric Luther was presented with Tawny Owl warrant and pin by Mrs. Robert Cook. Cheryl Fuss showed her dolls and told the history of costumes for her collection badge. Brownies are presenting toys to Children's Aid as their Christ- mas good turn. ANGLICAN CHURCH WOMEN The regular meeting of the A.C.W. of St. Paul's Anglican Church was held at the home of Mrs. W. Scrabuik. The meeting opened with the members prayer, Devotions from the Living Mes- sage and Bible reading from Acts 9. Mrs. Mary Taylor led in the reading of the Litany. Mrs. Scrabuik gave a reading. Roll call was a verse from the Bible, pertaining to Christmas. Plans were made for nursing home visitations, also sending Men's or Ladies' PAGE THREE treats to the shut-ins. A don- ation onation is also to be sent tothe group's prayer partner. Mrs. Mary Taylor closed with the Grace.
