Madill S.S. and a one-year extension of a Department of National Defence leave has been granted to Miss Marion Triebner. The Audio-visual technician at F. E. Madill S. S, has tendered his resignation effective Decemb- er 11. It was agreed that the dir- ector of education, John Coch- rane would ask him to stay on until the end of January by which time a replacement will hope- fully be found, Chairman lavis suggested that the staff at F. E. Madill S . S. could likely manage for a while until the position is filled but Superintendent Madill stated that audio-visual equipment at Wing - ham is "so sophisticated" that it would probably sit idle. In other business, the board voted that the expenses for a social evening for the board members, the senior administrat- ive staff and their wives and husb- ands would be met by the Huron County Board of Education; agreec to investigate the possibilities of public school assessment which is not coming to the public school. system. Time to Analyze Farm Record Books It is Farm Record Book analy- sis time again. Farmers who may wish to have their 1970 Farm Record Book summarized should forward it to the Agricultural Office, Clinton, during January. As before, the completed Farm Record Book will not be leaving our office. The checking of the book will be done by local Agricultural Office Staff, Clinton, and a summary card forwarded to the computer at PAGE NINETEEN the University of Guelph for analysis. The book may be brought to the Agricultural Office or mailed in. Anyone who would like assist- ance on completing their record book may call the office for an appointment. Every farmer in Huron County who has completed an Ontario Farm Record Book in 1970 is welcome to make use of this "no fee" analysis service. Any Farmer who wishes to learn how to begin keeping the "Ontario Farm Record Book" for 1971 should contact the Agricult- ural office at Clinton during December. 30 THE SQUARE PHONE 524-7811.
