Mrs. A. Johnston and son
moved their household effects on
Wednesday into their new dwel-
ling they have just recently pur-
chased from Mr. Henry Datars,
of New Hamburg.
Daniel Gascho has sold his
dwelling property in Zurich to
Noah Sararas, who gets possess-
ion on January 1.
Mrs. Casper Roerig, of the
14th concession, will hold an
auction sale on Tuesday, Nov-
ember 30.
Ward Fritz, of Kitchener,
spent the weekend at his home
here.
H. G. Hess, of London, was
a weekend visitor at his home
in Zurich.
Mr. O'Dwyer, of Lucan, was
a visitor at the home of his broth-
er Dr. and Mrs. O'Dwyer, on
Sunday.
William Meidinger has moved
into the dwelling he purchased
from Herb Bloch.
Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Berry left
last Wednesday for their new
home in Dunnville.
40 Years Ago
Dr. Joseph Routledge attended
the funeral of the late Dr. Char-
les McGregor at Seaforth on Wed-
nesday.
Thomas McMillan, M.P. for
South Huron, called on Zurich
friends on Wednesday last.
A quiet wedding took place
at the manse of First Presbyterian
Church, Seaforth, last Thursday
morning at 9 o'clock, when Miss
Goldie, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert Uttley, of Zurich,
was united in marriage to Walter
Arnold Scott, youngest son of
• Mr. and Mrs. T.G. Scott, of
Seaforth.
Harry Weber, who has been
confined to his bed for some
weeks, was on Sunday taken to
London by Dr. P.J. O'Dwyer,
where Mr. Weber will receive
treatment in the hospital, and
will likely be operated on.
Mrs. E.F. Klopp and Mrs. J.
Hey, Jr., are attending the
Western Ontario Convention of
the Women's Institute at London
this week.

the Hensall railroad station to
see the new oil burning engine
coming up with the morning
train, It comes to Hensall at
11 a.m. and back again at 5 o'-
clock.

Mrs. Edward Datars, Sr. , and
daughter Anna, have moved into
their new home, which was form
erly owned by Charles Thiel.
Keith Westlake and family have
purchased the former Datar's
home and intend to equip it as
a funeral home.
W. H. Edighoffer and Milton
Oesch attended a banquet at
Clinton, on Tuesday evening,
sponsored by the Huron County
Ninth Victory Loan Committee.
Miss Elda Reichert, Mrs. Hen-
ry Atkins, and Howard, spent a
few days with friends in Detroit
last week.
Earl Flaxbard has purchased a
lot from Clarence Datars, on
Louise Street, where he intends
to build a new home.
Mrs. J.A. Addison, of Clinton,
was the guest of Mrs. W . B , Cox -
on and Mrs. Ward Fritz last Tues-
day. •
Archie and Ivan Masse, of
London, spent Sunday with their
parents, at St. Joseph.

We are pleased to report that
John E. Gascho and Peter Den-
omme, who have been patients
in St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
have returned to their homes
and are progressing nicely. We
wish them continued health.
Hay Township lost one of its
well known and belay ed citizens
on Friday, November 11, in the
passing of Wilfred Frederick
Weido, in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Rev. and Mrs. Lloyd Kalbfl-
eisch, of Neustadt, accompan-
ied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kalb-
fleisch, of Wingham, were
visitors here last Friday with
Elmore Klopp and family, and
other relatives.
Ivan and Earl Yungblut, Ferd
and Jacob Haberer, have return-
ed home after a pleasant hunting

Remembrance Day service
honoring the dead of two world
wars was held in Hensall on Fri-
day under the auspices of Hen-
sail Legion Branch 468, which
included the traditional laying
of wreaths at the Cenotaph,
followed by a memorial service
in. the town hall.
Representatives of Lions Clubs
of 14 centres in District No. 5,
Ontario Society for Crippled
Children, met in the Town Hall,
Clinton, Thursday night.
Elam Shantz, of Zurich,
crawled unassisted from the cab
of his overturned gravel truck
yesterday. The heavy vehicle
gent out of control ori the fourth
concession of Usborrie and car-
eened into the side of a bridge.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Oesch and
Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Erb,
were recent visitors with relat-
ives at Pigeon, Michigan.

in Toronto, with Mr. and Mrs.
