ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS
BEST DOG in the Pet Show at the Zurich Fall Fair was this
fine specimen owned by Martin Gelinas. As well as being the
top dog in the show, he won the South Huron Veterinary
Clinic special for an extra three dollars in prize money.

During the week of September
20 to 26, the Exeter detachment
of the Ontario Provincial Police
investigated a total of six accid-
ents in which just ane injury
was reported. Nine charges were
laid under the Highway Traffic
Act while 17 warnings were hand-
ed out under the same act.
Four charges were laid under
the criminal Code of Canada,
and one under the Liquor Cont-
rol Act.
The accidents were as follows:
On Monday, September 21,
Provincial Constable R. T. White-
ford investigated a car and guide
post accident on 81 highway east
of Grand Bend, involving a car
driven by Judith Anne Sanders
of Grand Bend. No injuries,
vehicle damaged approximately
$100.
On Tuesday, September 22,
Provincial Constable F. Giffin
investigated a two car collision
at 1-luron Park, involving a car
driven by Mrs. Marjorie Bieber
of Clandeboye and a parked car
owned by Gaston Latulippe of
Huron Park. Latulippe vehicle
damaged approximately $100.
Bieber vehicle no damage.
On Friday, September 25,
Provincial Constable F. Giffin
investigated a car and trailer
accident on 83 highway west of
Dashwood. A car driven by Wil-
lard R. Swartz of Conestoga,
hauling a trailer, were damaged
to an estimate of $1, 050.
On Saturday, September 26,
Provincial Constable F. Giffin
investigated a two car accident
at the Stardust Drive -In Restaur-
ant parking lot at Crediton. In-
volved were William W. Kraft
of Grand Bend and Eva L. Tyler
of Dashwood. Damage to Kraft
vehicle $125. No damage to
Tyler vehicle.
On Saturday, September 26,
Provincial Constable D.A. La-
mont investigated a hit and
run accident at the Club Albat-
ross in Huron Park. A vehicle
owned by Lewis Szanyi of Huron
, Park was struck while parked by
an unknown vehicle. Damage
to Szanyl vehicle was estimated
at $20.
On Saturday, September 26,

Provincial Constable D, A La-
mont investigated a one car
accident on 21 highway during
the high wind and rain storm.
A vehicle driven by Louis L.
Forray, of 319 Nelson Street,
Sarnia, was blown off the road al
the height of a storm and struck
a drainage ditch. Nicole Forray
age 28, of Kincardine, received
minor injuries.
Police also investigated a
stolen truck -car episode at
Zurich on Monday, involving
a truck owned by Clayton Harris,
of Ridgetown. According to OPP
Constable D.A, Lamont, who
investigated, the truck had been
parked on the street in Zurich,
and was taken by someone who

abandoned a stolen car from
Varna. The truck was later re-
covered near Brucefield,
