as saw the Expos play.
Scott Boyle has returned home
after spending the summer holi-
days at Wyoming with Mr. and
Mrs. Sid Smith.
Robert Mark Cornelius, of
Sarnia spent a few days with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Mervyn Tiernan.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schenk
and Mary Lou, and Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Schenk and Karen, of Grand
Bend spent Sunday at Walkerton
with Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Schenk.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader and
family were Sunday visitors in
Kitchener with Mr. and Mrs.
Ivan Taylor and family.
Peter Martin McGrenere, 22,
of London, who drowned on Sunda)
was a grandson of the late Otto
Restemayer and spent his holidays
in Dashwood as a young boy.

Mrs. Eric Eagleson, and Miss
Norma Weigand were hostesses
for a miscellaneous shower in the
basement of the United Church,
for relatives and friends of the
bride on Tuesday, August 25.
The evening was spent playing
Bunco. Mrs. Eric Eagleson read
the address and Eleanor was the
recipient of many lovely gifts
for which she thanked everyone
and invited them to her home in
London. Pat Bender and Susan
Grigg played accordian selections.

Schenk were hostesses for a misc-

Britnell also told council all
cracks had been waterproofed in
an attempt to prevent additional

John Flannery, Seaforth, quest-
ioned the wisdom of using so mud
salt.
"We're doing our best to train
our men when it is best to salt
the roads, " answered Britnell,
"but we'll never be right all the
time. There will always be a
time when you have egg on your
face because human judgement
is such an important factor,"

eted dress having thre-quarter
length sleeves with white acces-
sories and a corsage of orange ice
roses,

pale blue metallic crimpolene
dress with navy accessories and a
corsage of yellow roses.
Guests were prevent from Galt,
Brantford, Kitchener, Sarnia,
Windsor, London, Milverton,
Owen Sound, Wingham, Meaford,
Dublin, West Montrose, Zurich,
Listowel, Seaforth, Atwood,
Walton and Newton.
Prior to their marriage the bride
had several showers given in her
honor. They were given by Mrs.
