SEPTEMBER, 1920
Miss Mina Doan, of Winnipeg,
was a visitor at the home of the
Williams' family for the past few
weeks.
Mr, and Mrs. Ed Merner, of
Clinton, were visitors with friends
in Zurich one day last week.
The moving pictures shown in
the town hall are being well pat-
ronized. The shows are above
average and many beautiful pict-
ures are being shown.
Mx. Nesbitt Woods has taken
charge as teacher of the Parr Line
School, in Hay Township,
Mr. George Schroeder has sold
the farm recently purchased by
him on the Bronson Line, to Mr.
Arthur Gabel, who owns the ad-
joining farm.
Mrs. Church and two children
who have been visiting with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. William
Klopp, and other relatives, ret-
urned to their home in Welland
on Wednesday.
Mr. Henry Bedour has disposed
of his farm on the Zurich road to
Mr. Toseph Druar, of this village.
Possession will be given next
March.
Miss Elizabeth Rannie has ret-
urned from Grand Bend and will
resume her teaching of singing
and piano playing.

The Zurich Lions Club staged
their first frolic last Thursday
night and the net proceeds of
$2, 000 will give the newly org-

ence with her aunt and uncle, Mr,
and Mrs. W A. Siebert.
A large number of those people
connected with the Sararas family
attended their reunion in New
Hamburg on Monday, when 200
were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Rowe and
family, of Bolton, were weekend
visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Newell Geiger, on the Gosh -

Twenty Kinsmen in Hensall are
busy scurrying around gathering
together the ingredients for spicy
home cooked beans and cole slaw,
all to be prepared by them for the
second annual Ontario Bean Fest-
ival, which is sponsored by the
Hensall Kinsmen Club.

SEPTEMBER, 1960
The first sod was turned on
Tuesday morning for the const-
ruction of the new Ste. Marie
Separate School at St. Joseph.
Construction on the four classroom
school is to begin within the next
week.
The Zurich Ladies Bowling
League held their organizational
meeting last Thursday night and
made arrangements for the com-
ing season, Twelve teams have
been itered in the league, from
Zurich, Dashwood and Hensall.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fisher and
family, of Gagetown, New Bruns-
wick, spent a few days over the
weekend at the home of his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fisher.

in Victoria Hospital, London.
Mrs. Alma Hess was a weekend
guest with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Smith and Mrs. Mabel Jarrott in

and Mrs. Patrick Soldan and Trac-
ey, of Huron Park, spent the week•
end with Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Spell-

camping vacation motoring to
Niagara Falls, Rochester N.Y.
and the three-hour boat cruise
around the Thousand Islands.
Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Desjardine
and Ron have returned home
after visiting Vancouver. They
travelled to Vancouver by train
and returned home by plane.
