No injuries. At 2:45 a.m. August 29, Const- D.A. Mason investigated a col- lision on Concession Road 16, of Hay Township, involving Const- able John Cairns, of 361 Main St. Exeter. The Exeter cruiser had been involved in a high speed chase with a car operated by Janes Gilfillan, R. R. 3, Ilderton, and Constable Cairns was forced to take the ditch because of the actions of the Gilfillan vehicle. Gilfillan has been charged with "Dangerous Driving" by the Ex- eter Police department and was also wanted for armed robbery by Metro Toronto Police, and for "Car Theft," by Clinton Police. Damage to the vehicle operated by Constable Cairns was $500. No injuries. At 2:05 a.m. August 29, Prov- incial Constable D,A. Mason in- vestigated a MVC on Concession Road No. 16 of Hay Township just north of Highway No 83, involv- ing a vehicle driven by James Beverly Gilfillan, of R.R.3, Ild- erton. Damage estimated at $100. Mrs. Gilfillan, a passenger, re- ceived back injuries. At 3:10 a.m. August 29, Prov- incial Constable D.A. Mason in- vestigated a single car collision that occurred on Hay Township Sideroad No. 5 one mile west of Highway 4 involving John Camp- bell, R.R.1, Exeter. Damage est- imated at $2, 000. Campbell received injuries in the collision. Wedding BRINTNELL - DESJARDINE Marlene Desjardine, dauihter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Desjardine, R.R.4 Grand Bend, exchanged wedding vows with Richard A. Brintnell, Exeter, in the Grand Bend United Church with Rev, PAGE FIVI Douglas Warren officiating. Jacqui Coughlin, of Exeter at- tended the bride and Charlie Reg- ier, of Zurich was best man. The wedding reception was held at the Dashwood Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Brintnell are now residing at 176 Sanders Street, Exeter.
