A graduate student working on
juvenile delinquency reported in
a sociology seminar that he was
having difficulty collecting data.
His project was to telephone
homes around 9 p.m. and ask the
parents if they knew where their
children were.
"My first five calls," he
he lamented, "were answered by
children who had no idea where
their parents were."

Blame Lightning
In Hensall Fire
A large steel barn on the farm
of William Vanderweil, R.R. 2,
Kippers, three miles east of Hen-
sall, was struck by lightning
during a severe electrical storm
which passed over Ilensall and
district last Tuesday night about
`7 p.m.
The barn burned to the ground
leaving only the foundation stand-
ing.
A tractor, a large saw for cut-
ting lumber, some electric mot-
ors and a few chickens were lost.
The barn was partially covered
by insurance and loss has been
estimated at $30, 000,
llensall and 13rucefield fire
brigades both responded to the
call.
Tom Slavin, who lives next to
the Vanderweil farm, reported
that his television was also struck
by lightning about the same time
as the barn was hit.
